The BusBoys Return to Rock Redondo Beach

Brian O’Neal and The BusBoys added another night onto their legacy of great times as they performed a wild show, Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Kilkenny’s Irish Pub on the Redondo Beach Pier.

It was reminiscent of the time when The Busboys played regularly in Redondo Beach, California, at a great club called The Sweetwater. It was an old, wooden, tavern style beer and spirits club that Bonnie Raite and Bob Dylan used to come to listen to the local talent.

Playing at Kilkenny’s, The BusBoys put a 2010 twist on their rock ’n roll soul, serving up some of  their classics like “KKK”, “Boys Are Back In Town”, “New Shoes” and “Did You See Me.” The Boys also performed new material like “City’s On Fire” and “It Must Be Saturday Night.”

Prior to the show, Brian did a cool interview with DJ Sheena Metal. If you missed it here’s a link to the mp3:

“We always love playing at shows that are close and connected. Kilkenny’s is the kind of club The BusBoys got started in and will always be a part of what we do” says Brian. “We’ll be back!”

Looks as if The BusBoys will continue to play shows through 2010, some of them with Special Guest Otis Day.
